“Painting is a blind man’s profession. He paints not what he sees, but what he feels, what he tells himself about what he has seen.” Pablo Picasso.
Many times I get comments like “you did something to that photo, didn’t you?” and I just look at them wondering why they can’t see what I saw when I captured the image. Sometimes I truly wish I could paint with a brush so I could answer them back “this is what I see.” I have long ago given up on waiting to hear what everyone of us aches to hear. It seems I mostly create fine art photography for me, and hope that there will be a few people out there who will agree with my eye and what it interprets. So for those of you who want to “see” what I saw, look up, for those who wish to see the scene as an original “SnapShot” look down.
If you want to know what I did to create what I saw, leave me a note below and I will share what I can.

Hi Steve – I just found you on twitter and after checking your work just had to write and say that I love your work. I am very interested in how you achieve the textured look that is in most of your artographs. It sort of blew me away, because I have recently begun working on a new style with paint and canvas which creaties a similar kind of background effect.
If you would like to take a look my website is http://kadirajennings.com It is still under construction, but you will see some of the works there that I am talking about.
Anyway – nice to meet you and look forward to continuing the conversation.
Warm wishes – Kadira

Steve: WOW. All I can say is that. I am in awe. I do see what you see when you create your prints. I love how you use textures and color. It’s so incredibly vibrant and awesome to take in. I dabble with photoshop/actions and I love photography. I’d love to learn from you and glean from your expertise. I asked to be your facebook friend, please don’t think I’m a stalker. Just a student who is constantly searching and learning for new and interesting things that provoke thought and your prints/art certainly has done that for me. Have a super great day and I look forward to hearing from you! Debby in Washington state
